Here's a pair of fun YouTube photo

Here's
a variety of original Corvair
Films and/or Corvair-themed TV Commercials...Most filmed in glorious
Black & White and produced long before the advent of standard
30-second spots. Ahh, just like our Corvairs, they just
don't make 'em like they used to. Enjoy!

"Rampside vs Ford Econoline"...Old,
Grainy, Silent, Fun!
But Officer,
everybody knows Corvairs can't go
THAT fast!

The
Corvair was revered for it's progressive engineering
design. Check out this test photo of an early

Wow, check out this rare photo of MLB Hall-of-Famer Yogi Berra at
Yankee Stadium with the many gifts given to him by his teammates and
friends on "Yogi Berra Day" in 1959 - including a brand new 1960
Chevrolet Corvair Sedan!
Inside GM's Corvair Design
Center, circa 1961...engineers

of Corvair Concept car
development.

This link lists a bunch
of Corvair sightings in the movies and on TV...Includes click-on

Check it out. How many more have YOU spotted? (I didn't
see
"Forrest Gump"
listed)
Wow!
Here's an awesome collection of 1960's Chevy print ads as
compiled by Jim Bernardin, who was heavily involved in their
original design. Aside from the ads themselves, what really
makes this an outstanding Corvair link is the unique insight
and background Jim provides for each layout. You gotta
check this out.
When it comes to our Corvairs, it seems
like anytime someone mentions the idea of combining our sexy
cars with pretty women, it causes an uproar. So given this
authentic 1960 photo showcasing the best of both,
anyone care to explain why it was ok then but not ok now?
