VIRTUAL VAIRS -  A popular e-mail discussion group dedicated to the preservation and enjoyment of the Chevy Corvair.  Membership is free, and open to anyone - not just Corvair owners.  An enthusiastic appreciation of Corvairs is all you need!

Stuff We Like To Do...

Vintage members Chris Pincek and Bill Stephens tend to the burgers on the famous Corvair Car-B-Q grill.

GENERAL ACTIVITIES...For Vintage Corsa members, if there's an opportunity to get our Corvairs out of the garage and onto the road, chances are good we'll be up for it.   We organize or attend Econo-Runs, Show 'N Shines, Swap Meets, as well as informal get-togethers and simple weekend cruises in and around Orange County.

We've organized and/or participated in many scenic driving tours to various locations throughout Southern California.  We like joining other local Corvair clubs at their events when possible, and we're always ready to lend a hand to help a fellow Corvair owner work on their vehicle.

Hey, it just makes sense.  We got our Corvairs to enjoy them, and the more Corvairs on the road, the better!

LOCAL TOURS...Always a great way to get together and get our cars out and about...We've toured auto museums, factories, member's businesses, fire stations, and more!

Final stop following a Saturday morning cruise thru Laguna Beach.  Yep, we all made it!

2 Classic Marques came together when Vintage Corsa members toured the Zamboni factory.

Dan Aungst and Roger Becker apply their early-model engine skills on a (gulp!) late-model.

HANDS-ON KNOWLEDGE...Vintage members are downright generous with their time.  We're always ready to lend a hand and share our expertise with fellow members and Corvair enthusiasts - hey, sometimes we'll actually wait til you ASK for our help! :)

When you get right down to it, if there's one thing better than our Corvairs, it's the people who love them - they're the best folks around.

FUN RUNS...Whether it's on the master calendar months in advance or just a spur of the moment drive, any chance to get our Corvairs on the road is a great day.
Making a donut run down Live Oak Canyon Road... Cruisin' PCH in Laguna Beach...
Vintage member Bob Hoffman heads thru Brea Canyon with an eye on his gas gauge and odometer.

RON FUNDERBERG MEMORIAL ECONOMY RUN...Ron was a well-respected member of Vintage Corsa with an outgoing personality and infectious passion for Corvairs.  This annual event is dedicated to the memory of our good friend.

“Great cars, great sports, great tailgates!”

SPORTS N CARS... A few years ago, Vintage Corsa member Scott Wheeler and his brother Ken initiated the "Sports 'n Cars" program, which combines the fun of local car outings with O.C.'s best sporting events.   While open to all pre-'73 American cars, Corvairs have anchored these outings since the beginning.

Let's see...sports, cars, good food, and great friends...what could be better?

Socal's Corvair Nation gathers under the Big A before another Angels game.

Corvair Alley is always an impressive showcase!

GREAT WESTERN FAN BELT TOSS...the world's largest Corvair show and swap meet.  Event takes place in beautiful Palm Springs, CA.  Vintage Corsa acts as the "official" host every 4 years.  It's our turn again in 2008!

Check back for an information link as the event gets closer.

NATIONAL CORSA CONVENTION...The CORVAIR SOCIETY OF AMERICA's annual convention is the ultimate Corvair experience. Host cities rotate around the country each year, and are a terrific vacation opportunity for Corvair enthusiasts and their families.

Next year the Corvair will celebrate it's 50th Anniversary.  Make your plans now to attend the 2009 National Convention next summer in Iowa!
