Sample Two
(middle left) is the most emotionally-evoking project I've done.
It's a car-themed time capsule of my parent's lives and was
intended for their 50th anniversary. I digitally-scanned old car photos pulled from
shoe boxes and scrapbooks in Dad's bottom dresser drawer,
then laid them over a backdrop of roadmaps representing
meaningful locations in their lives. Unfortunately, we
lost Dad to cancer a few months prior to their anniversary, so
he never saw the finished product. Maybe it was a form of
therapy that I went ahead and finished the project - the
original 12"x18" collage was so powerful I converted it to
the
20"x30" jigsaw puzzle seen here. Assembling the
puzzle turned into a family project, and it's now a living
room centerpiece! If it weren't for this project, all these
images of my mom & dad would probably still be lying in that
dresser drawer.
Sample Three (bottom
left) is a picture of my father-in-law when he opened this
Christmas gift. He owns a 1965 Pontiac Bonneville, and the
framed items in his display include a factory window sticker, set of keys, and original
Life magazine ad & dealer photo.
Before these items were framed, they were stuffed away in a box in
his garage. Now they're displayed proudly over the living room
fireplace. Finished

also includes a personalized Owner's Plaque.
Bill wiped back tears when he opened it - for a man who hides his
emotions pretty well, that said it all.
